SPIRIT is the 4th Studio album from VLM and comes out in 2026!
New album SPIRIT
SPIRIT is Viva la Muerte's fourth studio album. Launched during the 20th anniversary of the band's career, this album promises to be the best in Viva's history.
You can support SPIRIT by giving to this crowd funding campaign, which is designed to raise $7,500 and highlight the gifts of each band member. Therefore, when considering your gift, know that you can build your own bundle, based on your interests and your relationship with the band. These gifts will not only enable the recording of the album, but will also help cover the costs of the album art (by a legendary artist) and production.
Please, when imagining your contribution, take into account that Viva is not factoring shipping into these costs.
Thank you for your generosity and for supporting original music!
Love,
Viva

Praise for American Delphi:
“Two things really baffle me about this book: 1. How does a grown man so perfectly capture the voice of a teenage girl? 2. How does someone crank out a brilliant pandemic novel while the rest is us are still busy trying to make it through said pandemic?
I really enjoyed this book (for the record, I'm a not-so-young adult) . . . So timely, urgent, funny, and insightful. Some lines just slap you in the face with their brilliance.”
—Lauren Kay Johnson, Author of The Fine Art of Camouflage
Praise for The Mysteries of Haditha:
"I’ve never read a book that so thoroughly embodies E. M. Forster’s advice to only connect. A riveting, heartbreaking, hilarious story of loss and discovery, The Mysteries of Haditha is the rare memoir you can and should give to anyone, friend or stranger.” —James Tate Hill, author of Academy Gothic and Blind Man’s Bluff
Praise for Veteran Activism and the Global War on Terror:
“Written from the double perspective of someone with academic expertise who also worked as an American journalist embedded with Joint Special Operations Forces in Iraq, M.C. Armstrong offers fascinating insights into how American military veterans came to reconceptualize ideas of patriotic duty and homeland after 9/11. Starting with the famous case of Edward Snowden but also ranging across fiction writers such as Elliot Ackerman and Kevin Powers, Armstrong provides a compelling account of how these ‘veteran-activists’ engaged with a new era of ‘disidentity politics’ where the old markers of allegiance were no so conceptually secure. This provocative book should provide food for thought and controversy not only in academic circles but also the wider public sphere.”
—Paul Giles, Professor of English, Australia Catholic University, Melbourne, and author of The Global Remapping of American Literature
